I haven’t been a follower of this column, but will submit from reading this article that perhaps it is a victim of the medium, and not the recession.
Mr. Caulkin seems to openly blame the atrocious management practices of big business for the column coming to a close. This might have accelerated things, but there are people consuming media out there, and a case can easily be made to even the evil bankers to retain the ones that are working.
The zero accountability that the finger seems to be pointing at is what we all must remain aware of in ourselves. What are we doing to keep ourselves and our work relevant?
